Store Discovery & Dashboard
How to use the main StoreCensus dashboard: data grid columns, row actions, pagination, sorting, and the Top Filters bar.
The dashboard is the primary store discovery interface. It displays a paginated data grid of stores, updated in real time as you apply filters. The grid is backed by OpenSearch with Point-in-Time (PIT) pagination for consistent results across pages.
Onboarding Flow
New users see a guided onboarding checklist on first login:
- Connect your first integration
- Set up your first filter
- Export your first list
- Set up your first automation
The checklist can be dismissed. A "Getting Started" button in the filter panel re-opens the guided tour.

Store Selection
You can select individual stores or entire pages of results using the checkboxes in the data grid.
- Select a store - Click the checkbox on any row to add it to your selection.
- Select all on page - Click the checkbox in the column header to select every store on the current page.
- Persistent selection - Your selection carries over as you navigate between pages. Stores you checked on page 1 remain selected when you move to page 2, 3, and beyond.
- Selection count - The toolbar displays the total number of currently selected stores (e.g. "42 selected").
- Clear selection - Click the Clear button in the toolbar to deselect all stores at once.
Once stores are selected you can perform bulk actions on the entire selection, such as exporting, adding to a list, or unlocking contact info.
Pagination
- Results are paginated in sets of 50, 100, 250, or 500 rows.
- Navigation: First, Previous, Next, Last page buttons.
- Total result count is shown in the toolbar.
- The grid uses OpenSearch PIT (Point-in-Time) pagination - your result set is consistent even if the underlying data changes while you're browsing.
Column Visibility Toggle
Click the Columns button in the data grid toolbar to show/hide individual columns. Your column preferences are saved per session.
Sorting
Click any column header to sort ascending/descending. Click again to reverse the sort direction.
Top Filters Bar
Above the data grid, a horizontal bar shows quick-access "Top Filters" - pre-built filter combinations for common use cases. Clicking one applies the filter combination instantly. These are curated by the StoreCensus team and updated regularly.
Active Filters Display
When filters are active, a summary bar appears showing all active filter chips. Each chip has an ✕ to remove that individual filter. A Clear All button resets all filters at once.
