Platform Overview

Filter Panel - Complete Reference

Every filter section in StoreCensus documented: Platform, Shopify Plan, Checkout Intelligence, Payments, Shipping, Apps, Activity Signals, CRM, Products, Country, Revenue, Technologies, Theme, and more.

The filter panel is a 380px sidebar on the left of the dashboard. It contains collapsible sections for every filterable dimension. Most filters apply live (results update as you interact). A small number of filters require clicking an Apply button.

All active filters are combined with AND logic (a store must match all active filters). Within a multi-select filter, OR logic applies (store matches any selected value).


Platform

Filter by e-commerce platform. Options include Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Squarespace, Wix, and others. Checkbox multi-select.


Shopify Plan & Checkout Intelligence

Only shown when Shopify is selected (or no platform filter is active).

Filter by the merchant's Shopify subscription plan and checkout configuration. These filters let you target stores by their operational sophistication and feature set.

Shopify Plan — Select one or both plan tiers:

  • Basic — Entry-level Shopify plan. Suitable for prospecting newer or smaller merchants.
  • Plus — Shopify's enterprise tier. Plus merchants typically have higher revenue, larger teams, and more complex operations. Ideal for targeting high-value accounts.

Checkout Features — Filter by specific checkout capabilities the store has enabled. Each option can be toggled Yes (must have) or No (must not have):

  • Physical Products — Store sells physical goods that require shipping.
  • Digital Products — Store sells digital downloads or virtual goods.
  • Markets Pro — Store uses Shopify's managed cross-border selling solution, indicating international commerce focus.
  • Duties Included — Store displays landed costs (duties + taxes) at checkout, a strong signal of international selling maturity.
  • Custom Branding — Store has applied custom branding to the checkout experience.
  • Custom Fonts — Store uses custom typography in checkout.
  • Custom Colors — Store has customized checkout color scheme.
  • Checkout Rules — Store uses checkout validation rules or custom logic.
  • Checkout Extensions — Store has one or more active checkout UI extensions installed.

Use cases:

  • Find Shopify Plus merchants for enterprise-tier app pitches or agency services.
  • Target stores with checkout extensions already installed — they're already investing in checkout optimization.
  • Identify stores using Markets Pro or Duties Included for international commerce tools and services.
  • Find stores without custom branding that are on Plus — they may be ready for a checkout redesign engagement.

Payments

Only shown when Shopify is selected (or no platform filter is active).

Filter by which payment methods a store accepts at checkout. Each payment method can be toggled Yes (store accepts it) or No (store does not accept it).

Use cases:

  • Find stores that accept Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay — they're already BNPL-friendly and may be open to additional BNPL integrations.
  • Target stores without Shop Pay — an opportunity to pitch checkout optimization.
  • Identify stores using Global-e for international commerce targeting.
  • Find stores on Stripe or Shopify Payments for payment-adjacent tool pitches.

Shipping

Only shown when Shopify is selected (or no platform filter is active).

Filter by a store's shipping reach and destination coverage.

Shipping Scope — How broadly the store ships:

  • Domestic Only — Store ships within its home country only.
  • International — Store ships to at least one country outside its home market.

Ships To — Filter by specific destination countries the store ships to. Available countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany.

Each option can be toggled Yes (store ships there) or No (store does not ship there).

Use cases:

  • Find domestic-only stores that may be ready to expand internationally — a strong signal for cross-border commerce tools, international logistics, or localization services.
  • Target stores already shipping to Germany or the UK for EU/UK compliance tools (VAT, GDPR, customs).
  • Find stores shipping to Australia for AU-specific payment or logistics pitches.
  • Combine with the Payments filter (Global-e, Duties Included) to build a precise international commerce segment.

Marketing Signals

Only shown when Shopify is selected (or no platform filter is active).

Filter by marketing infrastructure signals detected on the store.

Facebook Conversions API — Identifies stores that have implemented the Facebook Conversions API (CAPI) on their storefront. CAPI is a server-side event tracking integration that sends conversion data directly from the store's server to Facebook, bypassing browser-based limitations.

What it tells you: A store with CAPI active has invested in advanced Facebook advertising infrastructure. This signals a store that is actively running Facebook/Meta ad campaigns at a level of sophistication that warrants server-side tracking — typically indicating meaningful ad spend and a performance-focused marketing team.

Use cases:

  • Find stores already running sophisticated Facebook ad campaigns — strong prospects for ad creative, audience optimization, or attribution tools.
  • Identify stores investing in Meta advertising infrastructure for complementary marketing technology pitches.
  • Combine with revenue filters to find high-spend advertisers using Facebook CAPI.

Apps

Filter by installed Shopify/WooCommerce apps.

  • Search box: Type to search across all apps in the database.
  • Category filter: Browse apps by category (Email Marketing, Reviews, Subscriptions, etc.).
  • Selection mode per app: Once an app is selected, a Yes/No dropdown appears next to it.

- Yes - Store must have this app installed.

- No - Store must NOT have this app installed.

  • Select all filtered: Selects all apps currently visible in the filtered list.
  • App Install Date: When an app is selected, an optional date range filter appears to filter by install date.

Activity Signals

Filter by detected change events. Requires clicking Apply.

Event types: App Installed, App Uninstalled, Technology Installed, Technology Uninstalled, Revenue Increased, Revenue Decreased, Theme Changed, Description Changed, Currency Changed, Categories Changed, Product Count Changed, Variant Count Changed, Price Changed.

Freshness options: Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Custom date range.

Metric filters (for revenue/spend events): Min/max change amount, min/max percentage change, direction (increase/decrease/both).


CRM

Filter by your CRM data. Requires clicking Apply.

  • Status: Contacted, Replied, Negotiating, Closed, Rejected (multi-select).
  • Lists: Filter to stores in specific lists.
  • Rating: Filter by star rating (1–5 stars).
  • Has Note: Toggle to show only stores with notes.

Products

Filter by product catalog metrics. Requires clicking Apply.

  • Product Pages: Min/max range (slider + manual input).
  • Product Variants: Min/max range (slider + manual input).
  • Avg Product Price: Min/max range (slider + manual input).

Country

Filter by store's country. Search box + checkbox multi-select. When United States is selected, a nested US State filter appears.


US State

Appears only when United States is selected. All 50 states + DC. Search box + checkbox multi-select.


Contact Channels

Filter by available contact methods: Email, Phone, Social Media, Live Chat, Contact Form, etc.


Monthly Revenue

Filter by estimated monthly revenue range. Slider + manual min/max input. Live filter.


Annual Revenue

Filter by estimated annual revenue range. Slider + manual min/max input. Live filter.


Tech Spend

Filter by estimated monthly technology spend. Slider + manual min/max input. Live filter.


App Spend

Filter by estimated monthly app spend. Slider + manual min/max input. Live filter.


Technologies

Filter by installed web technologies (non-app). Search box + checkbox multi-select. Examples: Google Analytics, Hotjar, Intercom, Stripe.


Theme

Filter by active Shopify theme. Search box + checkbox multi-select.


Vertical

Filter by industry vertical. Options include Fashion & Apparel, Health & Beauty, Electronics, Home & Garden, Sports & Outdoors, Food & Beverage, Jewelry, Toys & Games, Automotive, Pet Supplies, and more.


Language

Filter by store's primary language. Search box + checkbox multi-select.


Currency

Filter by store's primary currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, etc.). Search box + checkbox multi-select.


Domain Extension

Filter by top-level domain (.com, .co.uk, .ca, .com.au, .de, .fr, .io, .shop, etc.). Search box + checkbox multi-select. "Clear all" button available.


Website Created At

Filter by when the store was first detected. Options: Less than 1 year, 1–2 years, 2–5 years, More than 5 years, Custom date range.


Last Seen / Last Crawled

Filter by when the store was last crawled. Options: Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Custom date range.


Export History

Filter by whether a store has been previously exported. Requires clicking Apply.

  • Exported - show only stores you've exported before.
  • Not Exported - show only stores you haven't exported.

Reviewed

Filter by whether you've reviewed a store. Checkbox. Live filter.


Accessibility Metrics

Filter by web accessibility scores (Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO, PWA). Per metric: enable/disable checkbox, operator (greater than, less than, equal to, between), value input. Live filter.


Checkout & Payments (Store Detail View)

The store detail panel includes a dedicated Checkout & Payments section showing the full breakdown of a store's checkout configuration, active payment methods, and shipping reach. This is the same data that powers the Shopify Plan, Payments, and Shipping filters above.

Saving & Loading Filter Configurations

  • Save: Click the bookmark/save icon in the filter panel header. Enter a name. Saved as a Saved Search.
  • Load: Click the saved search name to restore all filters instantly.
  • Reset: The Reset button at the top clears all active filters.
