CRM Features

How to use StoreCensus's built-in CRM: pipeline statuses, star ratings, notes, and filtering by CRM data to manage your outreach.

StoreCensus includes a lightweight built-in CRM to help you track your outreach and organize your pipeline without leaving the platform.

CRM Status

Assign a pipeline status to any store to track where it is in your outreach:

StatusWhen to Use
ContactedYou've reached out to this store
RepliedThey've responded to your outreach
NegotiatingActive conversation / proposal stage
ClosedDeal won - they became a customer
RejectedThey declined or are not a fit

How to set status:

  • In the store detail panel → CRM section → Status dropdown.
  • Via the row action menu in the data grid (quick-set without opening detail).

Star Ratings

Rate any store from 1 to 5 stars to indicate lead quality or priority:

  • 1 star - Low priority / poor fit
  • 2 stars - Below average
  • 3 stars - Average / worth monitoring
  • 4 stars - Good fit / high priority
  • 5 stars - Excellent fit / top priority

How to rate:

  • In the store detail panel → CRM section → click a star.
  • Via the row action menu in the data grid.

Notes

Add free-text notes to any store to log context, call summaries, objections, or next steps.

  • How to add: Store detail panel → CRM section → Notes field → type and save.
  • Visibility: Notes are visible to all team members with share_crm permission enabled.
  • Filter: Use the CRM filter "Has Note" toggle to find stores with notes.

CRM Filtering

Use the CRM section in the filter panel to filter the entire data grid by your CRM data:

  • Filter by one or more statuses (e.g., show only "Replied" stores)
  • Filter by lists
  • Filter by star rating (e.g., show only 4–5 star stores)
  • Filter by whether a note exists
Note: CRM filters require clicking the Apply Filters button - they do not update live.

CRM Data in Exports

When exporting, CRM data can be included as columns in the CSV:

  • CRM Status
  • CRM Rating
  • Notes
  • List Membership

  1. Discover stores using filters → add promising ones to a List.
  2. Rate each store (1–5 stars) based on fit and revenue.
  3. Unlock contact info and decision makers for 4–5 star stores.
  4. Reach out and set status to "Contacted".
  5. Update status as conversations progress (Replied → Negotiating → Closed/Rejected).
  6. Add notes after each interaction to keep context fresh.
  7. Filter by status to focus your daily work (e.g., "show me all Replied stores").
