Lists

How to create and manage store lists in StoreCensus - your primary tool for organizing prospects by campaign, client, or ICP.

Lists are named collections of stores that you curate manually. They are the primary organizational tool for managing your pipeline inside StoreCensus.

Creating a List

  1. Navigate to Lists in the top navigation.
  2. Click New List.
  3. Enter a list name (e.g., "Meta Ads ICP - June", "Competitor Uninstalls", "Client A Prospects").
  4. Click Create.

Adding Stores to a List

From the data grid:

  • Hover over a row → click the row action menu → Add to List → select one or more lists.

From the store detail panel:

  • CRM section → Lists → click Add to List → select lists.

From an Automation:

  • Set the action to StoreCensus List → select the target list. Stores are added automatically when the trigger fires.

Removing Stores from a List

  • Open the store detail panel → CRM section → Lists → click the ✕ next to the list name.
  • Or from the List view, select stores and use the bulk remove action.

List View

The List view shows all stores in a selected list in a data grid format with the same columns and row actions as the main dashboard.

Features:

  • Sort and filter within the list.
  • Export the entire list.
  • Bulk actions: remove from list, set CRM status, add to another list.

Filtering by List

In the main dashboard filter panel → CRM section → Lists → select one or more lists to filter the main grid to only show stores in those lists.

List Naming Best Practices

List Name PatternExample
ICP + Date"Meta Ads ICP - June 2025"
Client + Campaign"Client A - Email Gap Prospects"
Trigger Source"Klaviyo Uninstalls - Auto"
Stage"Hot Leads - Ready to Close"
Vertical"Health & Beauty - US Stores"

Upload Domains

The Upload Domains feature lets you bulk-match your own domain list against the StoreCensus database and add matching stores directly to a list.

How to access: Click the Upload Domains button in the Lists panel (or from the main toolbar).

Step 1 - Provide domains:

  • CSV Upload - Upload a CSV file (single or multi-column). If the file has multiple columns, you select which column contains the domains.
  • Paste List - Paste domains separated by newlines, commas, or spaces.
  • Up to 10,000 domains per upload.

Step 2 - Choose a list:

  • Add to an existing list, or create a new list on the spot.

Processing:

  • Domains are normalized (strips https://, www., trailing slashes) and deduplicated server-side.
  • Matching runs in the background - you can close the modal and the job continues.
  • A progress bar shows processed / matched counts in real time.
  • When complete, a summary shows: total submitted, matched, unmatched, duplicates removed, and invalid entries skipped.

Result stats:

StatMeaning
MatchedDomains found in the StoreCensus database and added to the list
UnmatchedDomains not found in the database
Duplicates removedEntries that appeared more than once in your input
InvalidEntries that could not be parsed as a domain

List Permissions (Team Plans)

On team plans with share_lists permission enabled, lists are visible to all team members. This allows the whole team to work from shared prospect lists.

See Team Management for details on permissions.
