now approaching its 97th year, the washington town & country fair packed full of entertainment in washington, mo, but the event’s impact to our community reaches far beyond providing fun and memories. the volunteer spirit truly is part of the fabric of the washington community. by our estimates, about 37,000 volunteer hours are poured into our fair each year – from fair board members, committee members, service organization volunteers, and more. the fair’s local economic impact has been over $1 million for twenty years now. profits are reinvested in our community, both from the fair/chamber, and from the volunteer organizations that receive our donations.
