the avo garden is a tree growing project born out of a deep love for avocado fruit and where they come from. we have since started growing various other plants and continue to evolve towards the products and services that would enhance the whole south african outdoor experience that we love. our avocado tree babies have found their ways into homes around johannesburg, south africa since around 2018. we continue to bring happiness, excitement and intrigue to the homes of our customers, in sharing our inspiration and passion for avocado trees and the amazing fruit they produce. our stock of avocado trees generally have root systems ranging from 350 millilitres to 100 litres at any given time of year. we make a rich compost out of mostly avocado fruit. we dabble with various other plants including walnut trees, succulents and veggies.avocado trees can be kept in a pot or planted in the ground. all you need to do is water them often and keep them in sunlight. many people ask us how long they take to bear fruit. the answer is around 10-15 years at worst. the question and challenge we pose to those people is why have they been asking this question for 15 plus years instead of planting a tree? give back the oxygen you breathe and plant a tree, just do it, boom….
