I set up my Shopify store earlier this year selling physical and digital items from the UK. It has been a steep learning curve opening up my store to other countries, in particular understanding the requirements from the EU with the complexities of adding taxes at checkout, along with collecting and reporting these to each member country. I was very pleased to discover that EAS can do all of this for me and I do not need to be VAT registered. I like the fact that my European customers will see the price including tax straight away, so no hidden surprises at the checkout.
