Overall: Great app that we cannot live without! Allows you to set up promotions without using scripts or promo codes. They have an option for every type of promotion (which we need as a large retail site that runs a variety of sales). As a shopify plus subscriber we are using this in lieu of shopify scripts which are complicated to set up and non-intuitive to customers. Functionality: Excellent. Intuitive processes for customers utilizing popups for free items and allows discount codes to be used in conjunction with promos (or not if you don't want to allow that). Free gifts with purchase over x amount (popup at cart screen). Tiered pricing. Shows promotional callouts automatically on product and cart pages. You can even use this if you have a discount code active that you want to notify customers about. Downsides: The main downside is from an app compatibility standpoint which is not really a fault of USO. This app is not compatible with any checkouts besides the stock shopify checkout. So if for example you wanted to install a post purchase upsell app using a third party checkout, USO would not be compatible. USO if you are reading this please work on an integration with carthook, we'd love to use it :) Support: Outstanding! This app replaced one I was previously using (because SuppleApps bought the other one), and when I first set it up there were a few issues, some that were dealbreakers for me. I contacted support and they were awesome! They put their developers on it and now, three days later, I have something working even better than the original one did. They have responded to every email and I suspect even added functionality for me. I couldn't be happier! I'm still doing testing of it but I'm sure if I find anything they will take care of it :) Show more

Updated to 4 stars after working with Emily from Supple. She has been extremely helpful and understanding of the issues that we have had. We were able to fix our store to use Paypal with the app (note that the PayPal button will need to be removed from the cart screen, but PayPal will still work as a payment option at checkout. We are having another sale this weekend and intend to use the app again. If things run smoothly, I will upgrade our review to 5 stars. I am pretty disappointed with this app. The options for discounts are amazing, but in order for the app to work properly you have to remove PayPal Express checkout from your store (per Declan in customer support). This is not something that we can live with and it is not something that we were informed about prior to installing the app. Also, customer service is very slow. Many apps that we use have staff on hand at night and on the weekend to help with issues. Our discounts were not working for a Sunday only sale and it took 48 hours (plus 3 emails) to get any response at all. I am so disappointed because I thought this app was the solution we needed - but it was only a waste of time and an embarrassment to us for many customers that could not get our discount to work.
