We have used this app for about 10 months and in the last 2 months we decided to go to the pay model for email and sms notifications. A couple positive changes: 1) The SMS notifications get directly to your customer and this really sets us apart from many of our competitors. 2) The SMS allows us to give last minute tips & reminders for customers to get a better experience out of our products 3) We have had alot of customers screen shot the SMS notifications (on delivery) to show their excitement that their package is en route. General Questions to ask if this is for you: -I started with more SMS notification points (on pickup/on delivery/on receipt) and I found the SMS optimal point was at delivery/on exception as it kept costs down but worked well with the email notifications as they could provide more in depth communication -Make sure you review all of your apps/ecommerce/shipping software to make sure customers are not getting too may emails so they do not have overload hit -I think it is a great practise to notify customers in the delivery receipt that you will follow-up with them with a quick review email in 1-2 weeks time. We did this and it increased our review frequency. This was an interesting result as the review frequency increased and more in depth and helpful feedback (positive and negative but mostly constructive) All and all, a great app, integrates well, easy to use, and I will say it is definitely unique and worth the money. Aftership is exactly what I was looking for and more! It's nice that they offer a free plan, but the premium plan is very affordable. If you use shipping service, you have to have this app. Show more
I recently got super frustrated with the lack of being able to track packages in one clean place. Occasionally, I run into package delays or errors and I wished I had a screen that would display all my packages in one clean UI and simultaneously allow me to get a better overview of my stores shipping times. I struggled to find an app or a site that would do this easily. Then I found AfterShip. It's absolutely fantastic, not only that but even though I'm using the free version, the company added a custom API pretty much just for me so I could track international packages that ship though APC postal logistics. This app and their customer support is on point and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Because of them, I get up to the minute updates on all my packages and I can notify customers immediately that theres an issue to reduce returns/complaints about possibly slow shipping times.
